Basket Air Filters

Extended Surface Area filters provide optimal cooling for compact enclosures

UAF 3-Dimensional (Basket) air filters are the ideal solution to provide additional air intake area to provide the increased air flow and reduced resistance needed for the cooling of compact telecommunications platforms. UAF’s 3-D Basket Filters help designers of compact, 1U to 4U, telecom and networking enclosures to keep the system in thermal equilibrium (or thermally positive) while maintaining the stringent requirements of the Telcordia NEBS GR-63 standards. UAF 3-D Basket filters can also be used Medical and Military electronics equipment. Adding depth to an electronics enclosure air filter can provide up to 4 times more air flow than typical flat panel air filters while reducing impedance by up to 50%. This means additional air flow for system cooling, lower fans speeds for less noise, and lower initial resistance for increased filter service intervals.  UAF 3-D Basket air filters can be designed to meet unique system architecture and UAF’s patented CableVentTM cable management system can be added to allow cables/wires to be effectively routed behind the filter preventing air bypass and dust ingress.
