The UAF Outside Plant Series 2 filter utilizes newly developed high efficiency media technology that offers protection from dust, wind-driven rain and salt fog ingress at higher air flow and lower initial resistance than similarly rated filters. The OSP 2 filter provides the cost-effective answer for enclosure engineers looking to take advantage of direct air-cooling systems for electronics equipment protection. Cabinets installed in harsh environments for telecommunications, power generation, video or LED displays, kiosks, military/defense, and any other industrial or commercial outdoor enclosure can now use outside air vented, energy efficient direct air-cooling systems in place of costly, inefficient closed air-to-air heat exchangers.
UAF OSP 2 filters provide superior water and airborne contaminant protection in compliance with stringent industry enclosure standards including GR 487, NEMA, IP, MIL-STD-810E in an assembly that is RoHS compliant and UL900 rated. UAF developed the OSP 2 media to achieve the same efficiency of comparable filters with up to 30% lower initial resistance and better pleat integrity under extreme loading, effectively allowing our customers to achieve significant cost savings through decreased power consumption and longer filter life. UAF’s unique OSP 2 filter design incorporates a cleanable/replaceable pre-filter to extend the life of the high-efficiency media in a custom, cost effective, integrated assembly.

The Outside Plant Series 2 filter utilizes newly developed high efficiency media in pleat configurations that maximize airflow and efficiency at each pleat depth. The OSP Series 2 filter uses an anodized aerospace grade aluminum frame at select filter/pleat depths in any custom size (width or length). Each filter is urethane sealed to be water tight and tested to ensure consistent performance. A moisture resistant Neoprene gasket can be added to either side of the filter frame to prevent air bypass and provide a water-tight seal. A cleanable/replaceable foam pre-filter is integrated into the framed assembly to help extend the life of the OSP Series 2 filter assembly.
The OSP Series 2 media utilizes a UPE (ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene) membrane between synthetic support layers protecting the membrane from incidental contact. This high efficiency media is provided in standard pleat depths of 1.0”, 1.7”, and 2.0” with pleat density configurations that maximize airflow and efficiency. The OSP Series 2 media is rated to a minimum 99.0% efficiency at 0.3 microns. Designed to operate in harsh outdoor environments, the media virtually eliminates dust, water, wind driven rain, and corrosive salt fog ingress. Industry leading media technology allows for higher airflow and lower initial resistance compared to other competitive media offerings.
A foam pre-filter is integrated into the framed assembly and can be easily removed to be cleaned or replaced.
The OSP Series 2 filter frame construction is composed of extruded aluminum channel in standard depths of 1.50”, 2.25”, and 2.50”. The aluminum frame material is coated with a corrosion resistant clear anodized finish that is RoHS/REACH compliant.
