Windowpane Air Filters
Customized frame profiles allow optimal filter integration
Windowpane air filters are the ideal solution to meet the low profile and edge-to-edge filter needs of communications electronics applications. Windowpanes help telecom/datacom electronics designers meet the stringent requirements of the Telcordia NEBS standards.
The special design creates a sturdy air filter even when the combined thickness of filter media and frame is as thin as 0.13″ for applications where space is limited.

Universal Air Filter can customize Windowpane filters to meet Telcordia Standards for telecommunications and data communications equipment. Filters are designed to meet:
“GR-63-CORE, Network Equipment Building System (NEBS) Requirements : Physical Protection, Environmental Criteria, Issue 2, April 2002.” This guideline specifies UL 94 HF-1 filter media flame rating, minimum 80% dust arrestance, and UL 900 Class 2 framed filter fire rating.
“GR-78-CORE, Generic Physical Design Requirements for Telecommunications Products and Equipment, Issue 3, December 1991.” This guideline specifies minimum 80% dust arrestance and UL 900 Class 2 framed filter fire rating.
Framed Filters +/-.03″ length & width, +/-.03″ thickness
Quadrafoam filter media is available in all frame models in various pore sizes (25 through 45 PPI Green and 10 through 80 PPI Gray and Black).
Quadrafoam II filter media is available in all frame models in various pore sizes (10 through 45 PPI Gray and Black).
Unifoam filter media is available in all frame models in various pore sizes (25 through 45 PPI Green and 10 through 80 PPI Black).
Quadrafoam and Quadrafoam II are open cell polyurethane foams specially coated to provide a UL 94 HF-1 flame safety rating, fungus resistance, and UV radiation resistance. They feature deep loading, high dust holding capacity and low air flow resistance for use in extremely wide climatic conditions.
Unifoam is an open cell polyurethane foams specially formulated to provide a UL 900 HF-1 flame resistant additive. The random arrangement of strands and pores make this a filter media with tremendous dust-holding capacity and arrestance.

Windowpane air filters maintain necessary rigidity, keeping their shape and staying in place with an innovative “frame-n-pane” design that integrates the frame and a series of crossing, reinforcing intermediates that provide media support. Pane sizes and frame thickness are customized to the equipment’s needs.
