New Air Filter Products To Meet Emerging MicroTCA Standards

Universal Air Filter (www.uaf.com) has introduced new, low resistance media for increased airflow in smaller µTCA chassis. Whether designing air filtration systems for the frame or shelf level of an enclosure, electronics engineers can now turn to UAF to help them meet the emerging µTCA standards.

State-of-the-art applications require high density, high performance designs, but with high power comes the need to dissipate damaging heat. UAF’s low profile, low-pressure drop filter designs will fit within the space limitations of a µTCA chassis. And since the µTCA standards were created by PICMG and architected to meet Telcordia NEBS, UAF’s filter will meet their stringent flame safety and dust arrestance requirements.

Universal Air Filter has an impressive track record in rack mount, telco, and enterprise server applications, and offers a free prototype service to design engineers worldwide at www.uaf.com. An Internet-submitted prototype request, quick phone call, fax or e-mail is all it takes to get the process started. The free prototype is then produced and shipped within five working days.

Universal Air Filter products meet the following standards and classifications: UL 94 HF-1; UL 900 Class 2, CE; Telcordia NEBS GR-78-CORE and GR-63-CORE; and RoHS Compliance. When used as part of a fire enclosure, they also may be configured to comply with the flame-drip requirements described in UL 60950 and EN 60950.
