The new Dual EMI Honeycomb air filter provides superior shielding against electromagnetic interference and is specially designed for electronics, telecom and datacom equipment.
The filter performs three distinct functions:
- EMI/RFI shielding with positive grounding.
- Air straightening for maximum cooling efficiency.
- High dust arrestance with low pressure drop.
The Universal Dual Honeycomb air filter reduces EMI/RFI noise by using an EMI shielding stainless steel mesh that is bonded to the aluminum frame with a conductive silver/copper adhesive caulk. In addition, an EMI shielding gasket is installed around the frame perimeter. The gasket ensures full conductivity of the frame to the equipment. Moreover, the honeycomb structure provides “cells” that are designed to reflect and absorb EMI noise. The honeycomb pattern maintains minimal airflow impedance, and provides a “straightening” effect for even air distribution.
The Dual Honeycomb air filter also offers these benefits:

- Flame-retardant, open-cell poly-urethane foam filter media for high dust arrestance.
- Removable, cleanable and reusable.
Applications
Dual Honeycomb air filters are designed for electronics, telecom or datacom equipment where EMI/RFI interference could result in equipment malfunction. Filters are designed to be cleanable and reusable as needed. Dual Honeycomb air filters are custom designed for each application.
Media
Quadrafoam – an open cell polyurethane foam – is used as the filtering media in Dual Honeycomb air filters. This media is specially coated to provide improved fire retardancy and fungi resistance. It has deep loading, high dust holding capacity and low air resistance. Quadrafoam is cleanable and reusable. Quadrafoam is available in various pores per inch (PPI) ranging from 10 through 60 PPI.
